American Income Life

AIL Benefits Coordinator Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Army camp Hill, PA

Application

I applied through a recruiter.   The process took 2 days.   I interviewed at American Income Life (Camp Hill, PA) in February 2016

Interview

I was contacted by AIL via electronic mail for a few weeks and was somewhen called direct. Over the phone they made information technology seem as though they sourced my resume looking for a Benefits Coordinator. I was pretty excited and set up an interview for 2 days later. I later went online to search for the roles and responsibilities or mayhap a chore posting for Benefits Coordinator for AIL since I had never actually applied for the position. I must admit, since they are an insurance company, I was already pretty skeptical to brainstorm with and was not surprised to come beyond many posts online about individuals beingness chosen in to interview for a Benefits Coordinator position believing they were being recruited for an HR position only to notice out that they were being recruited for a sales position. With this in mind I called the branch back and asked to speak with someone who could give me a job description of the position of a Benefits Coordinator at AIL to brand certain I was interviewing for a position that I was actually interested in rather than wasting the time and energy to interview for a position that I did not accept an interest in. The HR representative refused to requite me an overview of the chore, ducking and dodging my questions the entire time encouraging me to enquire these questions at the interview. When I asked if there was an online chore posting for the position that I could look over, I was directed to a website that essentially showed me that the only positions available at this office were sales related positions but could not find annihilation on a Benefits Coordinator position. I and then asked, again, if someone could just requite me a quick overview just so I would know whether or not I was spending my time trying to attain a job that fit my career goals and at this point the representative promptly declared "information technology does not seem as though you lot are the type of person that would fit in our environment, I wish you the all-time of luck on your career search" and hung upwardly on me. The fact that I never applied for this position, had 18-carat questions about a position I was to be interviewed for, was ducked and dodged on every question I asked, and was treated that way by the recruiter lets me know that this call is a scam. They are non hiring a benefits coordinator in the Hour sense only are calling their sales people Benefits Coordinators in guild to attempt to lure in people and tempt them with the potential of "unlimited income". I would say be very skeptical if you lot receive this phone telephone call and make certain the position you think you are interviewing for is actually the position you lot are to exist interviewing for.

Interview

I got a call out of the blueish early in the morning from a recruiter informing me of an open position for an AIL Benefits Coordinator, and like a dummy, I scheduled an interview for 9:thirty am the side by side twenty-four hours. I should've declined right then and there. The recruiter very quickly went over the details of the position, and barely gave me any time to write the address and phone number downward, but she emailed me the address about an 60 minutes later. Said email was extremely short and had no data on what was discussed during the call or the company itself, which should've been a huge red flag for me, merely wasn't. Another thing that should've been a ruddy flag was the telephone call itself. I couldn't for the life of me, I couldn't ever recall when I applied for them, and I Actually needed to wake upwardly... I finally clue in and become suspicious when I practice a flake of research on the company. I kicked myself when I found their website. No information on the any of the positions, other than the opportunity to be an independent contractor? Yep, been there, done that. NEVER. Again. Just to brand sure my newfound suspicions were correct, I look them upwardly on proficient ol' Glassdoor! I would like to give thanks anyone and anybody who has had a negative feel with them and wrote an interview review for them, for I now know that information technology'd be a huge waste of time and coin to even prove up. I'll just sleep in instead!

I practical through college or university.   I interviewed at American Income Life

Interview

Process began and ended in London, Ontario. Constitute the job posting on my universities job board request for a resume submitted through electronic mail. Was accepted for an interview in the side by side week by email, and was given a 15 minute time window. The task clarification was very vague, indicating that information technology would be more of an office job dealing with processing insurance, and I arrived at the interview believing this would exist the case. There were x-15 other people of varying ages in the waiting room also waiting for interviews, and I quickly realized this was a mass hiring for a sales position. I entered my interview frustrated at AIL for misleading me and wasting my time, and decided to confront the interviewer near this procedure. He was taken aback by my exclamation, but somewhen agreed that the posting is misleading. In short: the benefits processing/coordinating position is not a business position, it is simply a cold call sales position for which you are paid committee.

Interview Questions

  • I began the interview by cutting off the interviewers question, and request i of my own: I asked, before we brainstorm, tin you confirm for me that this is not a sales position?

AIL Benefits Coordinator Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Smyrna, GA

Application

I applied through a recruiter.   The process took 1 day.   I interviewed at American Income Life (Smyrna, GA) in October 2015

Interview

The office was so unprofessional. The vestibule was packed with people wearing mismatched business attire and ane woman even had one business concern casual and carried a child's back back with her. The guy adjacent to me was carrying a sparkly folder instead of a professional leather leap notebook. They Lie to get yous in the door. I was told the base salary was xxx-50k over the phone which I was skeptical of to begin with because that is a large range for base. I was asked to fill up out data, met with a manager for 5 minutes who could not even articulate questions based on my resume. I was told that I "stood out" and whisked abroad into a room with 20 people. We were given a presentation which was them "selling the states" and given more questions to fill out. We were told 5 of united states of america would be called for final interviews. I believe this company is non ethical and is some type of pyramid scheme based on other reviews. I read a review that a guy in the role that I interviewed in was not paid for two months. When they called to offering me the concluding interview, I declined and told them this. The owner of the agency said it probably took him so long to become paid because he had a criminal background?! Well then WHY hire people like that. Shows the blazon of company you are working for..

Interview

I usually delete emails from inbox from insurance companies saying the institute my resume online with an invitation to contact them for an exciting chore interview. American Income Life actually called me. I idea to myself 'this is dissimilar, maybe they are dissimilar." What the hell - I decided to check it out. They called on Tuesday afternoon and wanted to run across me on Wednesday morning for an interview "Session." I was told it would take about an hour. I arrived to a room full of applicants. After about a 15 minute expect as they whittled through those who arrived before me, I was called up by fairly non-professional looking young man. I hateful, it looked like he was trying simply at that place were some details with his appearance that gave him away as some one not likewise experienced with hiring. I was ushered into a small office that looked like a "loaner" office or a company workspace: desk, phone, random sheets of newspaper, two chairs. Walls were sparse. Door was muddy. The interviewer held what appeared to be a two-page script for interviewing however, he asked me two questions that I suspect were non on the sheets - he wrote down my answers in random locations on the page. He then explained to me that I would be sitting through an "interview" with a group where the head honcho would exist answering 95% of all of my questions about the company and opportunity. I was then directed to a larger room where all the people who had disappeared from the lobby were now sitting. A few minutes later the presenter walked in. He was cordial and professional. He introduced himself to everybody. Asked a few questions. Handed out some notebooks and pens. Then he went right into a spiel that last just about 45 minutes. I won't prevarication - it was a practiced presentation - the guy has public speaking skills and charisma. I knew I couldn't become any further only at least the spiel was good. Ultimately I opted out of the procedure. I call back if my situation were a little different, I might accept been open up to pushing it as far as I could have.
